How to Use This Calculator
- Enter times without colons: 915 for 9:15, 1225 for 12:25, etc.
- On a 12-hour clock, use 12:00 pm for noon and 12:00 am for midnight.
- Use the Tab key to move between fields or enable “Enter = Tab” in settings.
- Break times are deducted from total hours worked each day.
- Overtime is calculated after 40 hours per week by default (adjustable in settings).
Overtime is calculated here according to FLSA overtime rules in the United States and Hours of Work as part of the Canada Labour Code. Other countries and certain industries pay overtime at thresholds greater than or less than 40 hours per week.
