This calculator uses the displacement formula: s = v × t, where:

  • s is displacement (in meters)
  • v is average velocity (in meters per second)
  • t is time (in seconds)

To use the calculator, enter any two of the three values (displacement, velocity, or time) and the calculator will solve for the third variable.

Example: If an object moves with an average velocity of 5 m/s for 20 seconds, the displacement would be:

s = v × t = 5 m/s × 20 s = 100 m

The calculator can also solve for velocity (v = s/t) or time (t = s/v) when the other two values are provided.
