Time of Death Analysis

Method Estimated Time Confidence
How It Works

This calculator estimates time of death using established forensic methods:

  • Body Cooling (Algor Mortis): Based on the temperature difference between the body and environment, using standard cooling rates.
  • Weight Adjustment: Body mass affects cooling rate – heavier bodies cool more slowly.
  • Clothing Factor: Clothing insulates the body, slowing the cooling process.

The formula used: Time since death = (Normal body temp – Current body temp) / Cooling rate factor

Note: This is an estimation tool. Actual time of death determination requires professional forensic examination.
